WATER BAPTISM
At New Hope Church in Everett, water baptism is a significant step in a believer's spiritual journey. It symbolizes a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to follow Him. The church typically holds baptism services several times throughout the year, providing an opportunity for individuals of all ages to take this important step. Family and friends are invited to witness the occasion, making it a joyful and celebratory event within the church community. Water baptism at New Hope is performed by full immersion, following the example set by Jesus in the New Testament. The church emphasizes that baptism does not save a person but is an outward expression of an inward transformation and personal faith. For those interested in being baptized or learning more about the process, New Hope Church provides resources and pastoral guidance to support individuals as they take this meaningful step in their faith journey.
BABY DEDICATION
At New Hope Church in Everett, baby dedication is a special ceremony in which parents publicly commit to raising their child according to Christian values and teachings. Unlike infant baptism, baby dedication does not involve water or signify salvation for the child; instead, it is a time for parents, family, and the church community to come together in support and prayer for the child’s future. During the service, parents typically stand before the congregation with their child as a pastor offers prayers and words of encouragement. The church family is invited to join in, pledging to support the parents as they nurture and guide the child’s spiritual growth. This ceremony emphasizes the importance of family, faith, and the church's role in raising the next generation. Baby dedications are usually scheduled a few times each year, and families interested in participating are encouraged to contact the church office for more information or to sign up. New Hope Church provides guidance and resources to help families understand the significance of this commitment and to prepare for the special day.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School at New Hope Church is a vibrant program designed to help children learn about the Word of God in an engaging, age-appropriate way. After the main worship time, kids are invited to go downstairs where dedicated teachers and volunteers lead them in Bible lessons, activities, and discussions tailored to their age group. This time provides children with the opportunity to explore foundational stories and teachings from the Bible, ask questions, and build friendships with their peers in a safe and caring environment. The Sunday School curriculum emphasizes not only biblical knowledge but also practical ways to live out faith in daily life. Parents can feel confident that their children are being nurtured spiritually while they participate in the main service, knowing that the church prioritizes both the safety and spiritual growth of every child.
